The muslim students association (IHV) is a newly founded club at the university Würzburg that aims at being a contact for all muslims studying here, and for everybody who has questions concerning Islam or muslim life at Würzburg. We’d like to take care of the concerns, interests, and needs of our fellow muslim students. What are our objectives? - representation of interest of muslim students in Würzburg.
- awareness training of the religion of Islam according to its authentic sources, the Qu’ran and Sunnah by means of lectures, information material, and discussion.
- cooperation with other students’ clubs to encourage interreligious dialogue, mutual understanding, and reduction of prejudices.
- formation of a social network of international students. Especially, we’d like to help our brothers and sisters who are new in Würzburg and who might have a difficult start in a new city or country.
- we plan regular events for all muslim and non-muslim students who like to learn more about Islam and make new friends from all over the world.
Interested? The IHV is still quite new and we are just planning our first activities in Würzburg. Therefore, we need dedicated students (no matter if muslim or not) who are interested in Islam and who like to help us realizing our ideas.
